clinks next installation brings a new artist to its catalogue, featuring the work of new yorks acclaimed brooklynite, adultnapper. these tunes are loaded with buoyant percussion and peak-time concepts via synthesizer sampling and manipulation, hence the title, >borrowed keys<. adultnapper is most recently noted for his highly publicized mix compilation and release on steve bugs label, audiomatique, and in addition to clink he has work coming up on pokerflat and crosstown rebels. he is also the owner of the ransom note imprint, and through many years of dedication to the nyc tech-house/minimal scene, he has become a new york underground icon. he first captured our eyes nearly 7 years ago for his insanely popular sunday boat parties in manhattan, titled matter:/form, which later became a tech-house imprint featuring many of the uk icons such as terry francis and eddie richards

yukihiro fukutomi is a japanese house music producer who have released from jcr, king street and released from mule electronic under the name of foog. this is a single cut from his new album contact, its released in only japan. a side, open our eyes is a cover of marshall jeffersons house classic. he updated this great classic song to modern electric jazzy house version. its a simply bomb! b side, nesting is a deep, dubby house with freaky trumpet sound.this track is a similar style to dennis ferrer release on objektivity. very good dj tool for all around.

munich man dario zenker is back again for his second vakant ep following 2008s >sam und er/womde!< (va019). still fresh faced and just as hungry, dario continues to bring the bavarian goods to our freaky masses. a side -would be nice- makes more twists and turns than a sausage factory while consistently pumping out the mystery meat thick and juicy. if you want freak, thump, space, expanse, its all here. b1 -blue champa- is perhaps more on the vegetarian tip: light, nutritious, guilt free and always leaving you a little hungry. fun and bouncy, -blue champa- easily proves that you dont need to eat meat to get phat. at b2 position you will find -while rain gets air-. we have no idea what dario means here but if you were asking yourself >wheres that track on this vakant record that wont let close my eyes at night cause i heard this track at 7am and im still a little freaked out,< this is it. listeners beware

2nd release by the talented alan 1 from rome! this guy is doing some futuristic club music. his first release sold out in the first week.. and for this one it might even be more extreme. nature re incarnated final frontier records (which did the great analog fingerprints release via submerge in detroit) now its the 3rd release which is a special split project with nature records. alan 1 is a young gun doing some crazy versatile club tracks that could be easily described (we make it our selfs easy today) as soundhack meets adonis meets mr oizo. especially sniff them and fat eye(!!!) are totaly amazing cut up chicago future disco jackers! wdywsw is a slice of high energy powerpop, with affecting agitprop lyrics asking one of the most relevant questions of our troubled times. parisian genius rob totally flips the script by translating the song into the sad, plaintive language of late night soul searching. and thanks to pacifics elegant pop version, the sun is beaming from sweden. poney poneys first album is being recorded right now, with xavier de rosnay (of the justice fame) still rolling for the band. beware.

there s not much information about franck valat, laurent flaoh and their project 2buddies. but who needs words in the face of these 4 beauties? clear drops of cool rain drip down from fresh green onto our heads and it feels like flying through fluffy clouds.

phantasma one is the first 12?,, of our second compilation, featuring”clapper” by tobias. and efdemin s “hope”. we are astonished and thrilled this split ep doesn t even sound like one but is of beautiful consistence and adequacy. “clapper” hypnotizes from the first second with a straight forward percussion rhythm which curls inescapable upwards even in the mind of an inattentive listener, pushing ahead with classic machine drums driven with a both glaring and harsh attitude. the crystal surface of efdemin s “hope” is woven into a plait of swelling basses and enriched with extensive spins of snare rolls and precious carpets of highlighted chords which seems to rise out of the drums which carry the whole track with slick efficiency. without a doubt this vinyl will be in every record case for a long time. grab your copy as long as there are some.

ricardo villalobos playlist!! the endless white of the far north. the opening melodies of adam marshalls >north at night< can be heard faintly over the whistling wind. a small black dot appears at the centre of the distant horizon. at first it appears to be still, but gradually we recognize movement. over the next few minutes the shape begins to grow until it has defined the image of a man walking towards us. as he approaches, the music grows clearer. like the warmth of the first sunlight >rose mountain< radiates its glow through the use of a flurry of rhodes electric piano chords. adams signature percussion permeates the dub and binds its elements into an infectious groove. >mfb flex< is the counter balance to the organic flow of the other cuts and molts the warmth into a techno roller designed for the long player mix. marshall said… >ive long been intrigued by that incredible tapestry of tundra and taiga which constitutes the arctic and sub arctic of our country. ive read about it, written about it and even pulled up my parka once and gone there, yet, like all but a very few canadians, ive had no real experience of the north. ive remained, of necessity, an outsider. and the north has remained for me a convenient place to dream about, spin tall tales about, and in the end, avoid<

new kanada enters the year of darkness with two cuts of techno that go straight for the throat. raw house music for mixers, jackers, and people of ill repute everywhere. side a features a slamming remix of murr’s “stay” track by adam marshall. murr’s original moog bassline gets jacked into a dj-friendly mix weapon of the highest calibre. 10+ minutes of erratic hats, swung snares and some weird noises that would do octave one proud. sibe b is a homage to our favourite analog mixer of days gone by - the numark dm1950. mood edit embraces the chaos of chicago house, and the class of new york city in this long playing dub tool that will be sure to evoke fear in the legs - and passion somewhere inbetween. complete with off kilter bassline, counterpoint bump, and a long deep mix for the heads.

second release for the april77 record label... our sound is fast and tough. we dig the clash, buzzcocks, the jam and all that mid 70s early punk stuff. the list could go on and on (lenny pops, singer of the red hearts.). the red hearts are a household name in the los angeles indie rock and punk scene. they are lead by lenny pops, who formed the band in 2004 after having played in the brian jonestown massacre. the guys have shared the stage with cult icons such as silver apples, the avengers, as well as playing with many of todays top bands including black lips and lords of altamont.
